Anurag Duggal, M.D.
Dr. Anurag Duggal is a Core Faculty member for Internal Medicine (IM) Residency at Texas Health Resources Hospital Plano. He currently serves as an Infectious Diseases (ID) consultant at Texas Health Plano, Texas Health Frisco and other surrounding hospitals in Plano, McKinney and Allen along with seeing outpatients in his private practice.
Dr. Duggal completed his Bachelors of Medicine (MBBS) in India followed by IM Residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General, Akron Ohio - where he served as a member of core curriculum committee and was the chief resident. He was awarded student teaching award presented by IM clerkship students of Northeastern Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). He then completed his ID fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Ohio. He has been in clinical ID practice since 2009 - and has had active involvement in student and resident teaching at multiple hospitals in Northeast Ohio along with serving as core faculty for IM residency program at Cleveland Clinic Akron General; Summa Health Hospital Akron; and Western Reserve Hospital Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He served as an Assistant Professor (IM) at NEOMED and Clinical Assistant Professor (ID) at Ohio University College of Medicine before relocating to Dallas area in 2019.
Dr. Duggal has special clinical interest in bone and joint infections. He enjoys teaching as his passion: his teaching philosophy is very simple: “Be relatable & approachable, have strong emphasis on basics, and have fun while you do it - everything gets easier in a relaxed atmosphere” That is where Texas Health Resources Plano comes in - providing the perfect environment for teaching, practicing ID in an efficient manner while working with superb physician colleagues, nursing staff and administration.
Dr. Duggal lives in Frisco area and is a diehard Cleveland sports fan - supporting his teams to the core (Esp Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes). He wishes to see Cleveland Browns win the Super Bowl in his lifetime!! He enjoys playing multiple sports including football, basketball, tennis, table tennis etc. In his spare time, he also enjoys listening to music.
